What Is a Sleep Appliance?

A sleep appliance is a custom-made oral device worn during sleep to help keep the airway open. By slightly repositioning the lower jaw, it helps prevent airway collapse that can lead to snoring or disrupted breathing. This treatment is commonly recommended for patients who snore regularly, experience mild obstructive sleep apnea symptoms, or wake up feeling tired despite a full night’s sleep.

How It Works

Your sleep appliance is custom-designed using a precise scan or impression of your teeth to ensure comfort and effectiveness. Once fitted, it gently adjusts the position of your jaw to improve airflow and reduce airway obstruction during sleep.
