Digital X-Rays

Clear Imaging. Early Detection. Safer, Smarter Diagnostics.

Modern Dentistry with Advanced Imaging Technology

At Horton Family Dental , we use advanced digital X-ray technology to capture highly detailed images of your teeth, gums, and jaw with minimal radiation exposure. Digital X-rays allow us to diagnose dental issues earlier, plan treatments more accurately, and monitor your oral health with greater precision compared to traditional film X-rays.

Whether used for routine checkups, diagnosing pain, or planning restorative treatments, digital X-rays help us deliver faster, safer, and more effective care.

How Digital X-Rays Work

Our digital X-ray process is quick, comfortable, and highly efficient. During your visit, a small sensor is placed inside your mouth to capture detailed images of your teeth and surrounding structures. These images are instantly displayed on a computer screen, allowing us to review your oral health in real time.

Depending on your needs, digital X-rays may be used to detect cavities between teeth, evaluate bone levels, assess infections, check impacted teeth, or support treatment planning for procedures such as implants, root canals, or orthodontics. Throughout the process, we prioritize patient comfort while ensuring accurate diagnostic results.

What Are Digital X-Rays?

Digital X-rays are a modern diagnostic tool that uses electronic sensors instead of traditional film to create high-resolution images of your oral structures. This technology provides clearer images in less time while significantly reducing radiation exposure.

This technology can be used to detect cavities and decay between teeth, evaluate bone health and gum condition, identify infections or abscesses, monitor tooth development and alignment, assess impacted teeth such as wisdom teeth, and support precise treatment planning for restorative and cosmetic procedures.

We use digital imaging to help you stay ahead of dental problems through early detection and proactive care.

Why It Matters

Digital X-rays are essential for maintaining long-term oral health because they allow problems to be identified before they become serious. They provide earlier detection of dental issues, improved diagnostic accuracy, reduced radiation exposure compared to traditional X-rays, faster and more efficient appointments, and better treatment planning for predictable results.
